Jan Kriwol's early work as a photographer is rooted in the Polish skateboarding scene, a fact that is still evident in the style of his work, even his commercial work. He is a recipient of the KTR Award in the Photography category. His work is characterized by irony, a sense of humor, and a sense of detachment from the everyday, often employing illusion and masterful yet remarkably subtle use of digital processing.
