Tadeusz Rolke
For eight decades, Tadeusz Rolke has been observing the world through the lens of his camera. As a professional reporter, he photographed for the weekly "Stolica," the monthly "Polska," the biweekly "Ty i Ja," and the German magazines "Stern" and "Art." This, as well as the other, more personal side of the artist's oeuvre, which he called "photography nobody needs," have been exhibited in galleries and museums in Poland and abroad. A common feature of Tadeusz Rolke's prolific work is his sensitivity to his surroundings, especially to people. Both this photographic sensitivity and his passion for art have been closely linked to subsequent decades of his photographic activity.
